Despite the winter rain, many enjoyable regional events take place this month.
- In Vancouver, BC, the 2010 Winter Olympic Games begin on February 16th. Aside from the main event action, here is a list of other nearby attractions once Olympic fever has run dry.
- Fremont, an enclave of Seattle, hosts a farmers market on Sunday's throughout the year. Boasting locally grown fruits and vegetables, fresh soups and more, visit their official blog for directions, nearby attractions and even a sneak peak at the line-up.
- Or, if feeling a bit sluggish after visiting the farmers market, head north to North America's largest public tea exhibition. The 4th annual Victoria Tea Festival is held in British Columbia's Crystal Garden.
